JCSA Threatens to Shut Down Sporting Clays
JCSA Seizing Sub-Club Financial Assets
Fellow shotgun enthusiasts,
It saddens us to share this information, but we felt it was important to maintain transparency with our membership and to promote a full and robust discussion to protect the integrity and function of not only our club but of all clubs functioning from within the Josephine County Sportsman Association (JCSA).
Earlier this year, JCSA demanded all sub-clubs hand over all of their club monies to JCSA or risk being shut down. After several months of attempted (but ignored) discussion, both the Sporting Clays and Trap & Skeet clubs have elected to take legal action against JCSA and we wanted to provide a detailed summary to our members to ensure a full and factual account of the timeline and our efforts was available for review.
As of now, we await the response of JCSA to our attorneys most recent letter demanding JCSA cease and desist all attempts to reorganize all sub-club funds without first making a proper proposal to all JCSA members to modify the By-laws (Article XVIII). Our hope is that the JCSA Board of Directors will take this opportunity to reapproach this effort by engaging in meaningful discussions about their goals and work collaboratively with the entire JCSA membership to bring about positive change.

Our beautiful Sporting Clay course offers shooters 14 exciting stations that weave throughout a beautiful forest setting.

Our beautiful Sporting Clay course offers shooters 14 exciting stations that weave throughout a beautiful forest setting.
All stations are equipped with automatic targeting systems. These advanced targeting systems allow shooters to choose between normal and advanced settings. They also have delay settings to enable solo shooters to have a more natural experience.
The course is designed to accommodate both pull-along and motorized carts.
The course is closed on Monday and Tuesday to allow our range team safe ability to perform weekly machine and target tests to ensure our course is always throwing birds without issues.
Many of us shoot on Wednesday and Saturday mornings and you are invited to come out and join us. We will be happy to show how the course and targeting systems work. Check out the calendar for more information on when we are shooting.
You will need a Bird Card to activate the targeting systems. Cards are available for sale at the front desk when you check-in.

5-Stand is one of the most exciting and challenging shotgun sports around and we are excited to make it available to our community!
We typically run the 5-Stand on the 2nd Wednesday and 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month. All dates start at 10am. Check our event calendar to confirm the next date.

5-Stand is one of the most exciting and challenging shotgun sports around and we are excited to make it available to our community!
We typically run the 5-Stand on the 2nd Wednesday and 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month. All dates start at 10am. Check our event calendar to confirm the next date.
Our 5-Stand delivers targets from 10 different stations and presents birds in a constantly varying array of travel that will certainly allow you to experience both the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat!
If you have not shot 5-Stand before, our course managers will help make sure you know what to do, so don't be shy...come on out and give it a try.
Because of the location, its easy for your tag-a-longs to set up a chair and cheer you on from just behind the stands with a great view of the action.
Each round is $10 (discounts for RVSC members). When you arrive at the Gun Range, check in at the main lobby and they will direct you to the 5-Stand location. You pay after you finish shooting.

We are a busy and growing club and are excited to welcome any fellow shooters to join us. We host many registered and fun shoots throughout the entire year. In addition to the wonderful camaraderie, members also receive discounts on clay cards and 5-stand tokens.
To join our club, you also need an annual membership with the Josephine County Sportsman Association.
The Josephine County Sportsman Association (JCSA) has several archery, rifle, and pistol ranges for your use in addition to our sporting clay and 5-stand courses. To access JCSA, you will need to either pay the day-use fee or become an annual member of JCSA.
To join our club, you will also become a member of the JCSA

Please note:
You do NOT need to be a member of the RVSC club to shoot the Sporting Clay or 5-Stand courses.
